Transfer: Chelsea announce departure of two players

Chelsea have announced the departure of two players from the club.

The Blues disclosed this in separate statements via their website on Wednesday.

The two players are midfielder Reggie Walsh and goalkeeper Katie Cox.

Walsh will spend the 2026/27 season on loan at League One side Wigan Athletic.

He signed with the Blues as an under-8 and made his senior debut for the club aged 16 years and 193 days.

Similarly, Cox will join Nottingham Forest on loan for the 2026/27 season.

She has been with the Blues since the age of eight, impressing while graduating through the academy system.

“I’m delighted to be able to continue my future at Chelsea and be offered another contract at my childhood club,”  Cox said via Chelsea’s website.
